P2s, I think I get the idea behind making this list, however, I believe the original Quest Buildings page should just be added to and not completely redone. I like the info the QB page already has. It does need the related Series for each Structure added to the existing info, but overall it already has a lot of info and is organized in a clear, legible way. Unless you're planning on using this page to just provide the related Series and a link to the correct part on the QB page. You'll have to let me know your ideas for this page. Btw, I am planning on renaming the QB page to Quest Structures. If I should hold off on doing that as you have a better plan for the new page, please let me know as soon as you can. Thanks!
What's on your mind?

We need to decide what to call things that currently include the word "Quests" in the Nav Menu as we have decided Series makes more sense to new users than Quests.
If the organization of the Nav Menu needs to be rearranged, this is also the place to discuss those changes.
As always, all opinions are welcome, and the more the merrier so we can gather all input, discuss, and make final decisions. The more info/opinions we have to work with the better the decisions we can make. Thanks!
I am working on learning how to extract the images from the game. My first test is for the Brightwood Manor House. Please view it and see what you think. I would also like to know what guideline we should establish for naming such files. I named it Houses-Brightwood Manor.png. My thinking is the images should have the same type names as articles, ie LE Series: Series Title, thus Houses-House Name. The system will not allow us to use : in the name. And it adds underscores where there are spaces, which is why I didn't put spaces before and after the hypen after the type of the Item is in the Market. I'm open to suggestions and input on all of this. Please help me figure this out. All opinions and input are welcomed from anyone. Thanks!
Hello, I am in the middle of reorganizing the LE Series Article. I would like as much input as anyone wants to give.
Right now, I have a question that I need answered before moving forward. Right now, the dates give how long they last, meaning xx/xx - xx/xx. I have no problem with keeping the dates like that, but it seems to me the only page that info is really necessary on is the Main Page where it lists the current LE. If it's ok, I was wanting to change the date range to just the starting date. It will make what I have in mind, already, look much cleaner. Thanks for your help!

I am in the process of rearranging everything on this page. With all the ReActivated LEs lately, it's getting hard to figure out how to organize it. As soon as I can, I will do what I think is the best and let you know on here so you all can tell me what you think. Like it? Hate it? Want to see something changed? All input is welcome. Thanks for your time!
It seems no one is using the Chat feature since I turned it on some time ago. I would like to turn it off. I'd like some wiki input to see if everyone is ok with turning it off, or if we should leave it on. If I don't hear anything on here for 2 weeks (to give people a chance to see it) then I'll go ahead and turn it off. Thanks so much!
I think we already have a thread about this on someone's Message Wall, but I think it's time to start one here instead.
Here's why I'm doing this. After spending some time emailing Kiwi back and forth on a regular basis for the past month and a half, I think we should reconsider the whole Quest Series thing. When using this term with them, they get confused. If they get confused and they make the game, I can only imagine how confusing it is to new people. Whenever I have had problems with a Limited Edition QS, they have used the term LE Series, leaving Quest out. I think this is what should be used. For Regular QSs, we should just use Series or Regular Series. My choice would be just Series, but I'm hoping to hear from at least a few people to get input. Using Quest and Series in the same term is just too confusing. Since I am basically the only one doing the LEs I will start using LE Series: Title for the page names. Eventually, I'll go back and rename the old pages, as well. As for Series page names, I think they should just be Series: Title. Both have a colon and one space after the colon, just for clarification. Player2start, you're basically in charge of the Regular Series(es), so I'd definitely like to hear from you before you get started rolling out a ton of pages in a short amount of time.
If anyone would like to give input, please, feel free to do so. Thanks!
Hello, all. I recently ran across some javascript that allows you to create/edit a greeting on your message wall. If anyone is interested in doing this, please let me know on here. It's easy to turn on and off. If you'd like to see an example, please check out my Message Wall. It's nothing fancy, at all, but can be useful.
There is a way to protect pages so you have to be a registered user to make an edit. I would really like to implement this as we get people stopping by, who aren't signed in, and make changes to things that are not in line with our formatting, etc. Once they see they have to be a registered member, they will sign up, and then we can have a conversation with them. You cannot contact someone if they are not signed in. It creates a page for them under their IP Address, but messages left there are not seen by the people as they do not get notifications, because they aren't signed up and in.
I'd like to hear some opinions, the pro's and con's if you will, from anyone who has one, please. Thanks!
Ok, I thought I'd go ahead and move our convo here.
This is what I've come up with as far as using Templates for the RQSs. I don't see a way you can use one template for an enitre walkthrough. I think you'll have to break it down to each section of each section. For example, make one Dialog template with the color accordingly. I think the best thing for me to do is just make templates that I have in mind and let you see it in action. Basically, it's going to take a whole bunch of little templates to be used on the walkthroughs. A template for each section of the boxes you're creating for each Quest, ie the Task box, Dialog box, etc.
Player2start, Since you're the lead on this one I thought I'd ask a question. Are we interested in filling in the Regular Quest Series Walkthroughs with Item numbers like the LEQS's? Example, Series: Fortified 10/14 Requires 2 Spyglasses and 3 Sawhorses and takes 8 Hours to Build. Number of Axes needed to Find Quest Items is also a good example. So are we interested in filling in this type of info, or is that too much? Just wondering. I've been taking screenshots of amounts, etc, so I may have enough to at least get started. I think, wait let me check. Ok, well, I guess I deleted them. Dang it. I can always start again. If anything, we can put the blanks and let other people fill them in over time. But like I said, you're the lead on this one so I'll go with your call.
I am about to purchase my last two Helpers, while this current Sale of 60% Off is going on. The two I have left are both 250 Gold, and the 60% Off is cheaper than the Buy One, Get One Free Sale at this point. That being said, I will need someone to keep track of future Helper Sales. If BA is anything like Westbound, they will no longer show up for me as I have no more Helpers to purchase. Would someone be willing to just keep track of when they appear and post them on the Sales History page? You won't be responsible for posting the info on the main page. I would just like someone to keep track of the Helper Sales for the history page to figure out the pattern(s), if any. If you would be wiling to do this from here on out, please let me know here. Thanks!
I'm considering going back to making the Classic Editor the only editor available. The VE is a "trial feature". Since we're stuck with Talk Pages (or so it seems) and with the Dear Kiwi page needing to include the four tildes that creates your signature, it's just easier to do it in the Classic Editor. It can be done in the VE, but requires a few extra steps. Whereas with the CE, you can just type the tildes and Publish. The CE is a bit better, IMO, but will require some of us learning the CE again, or for the first time. I'd like as much input on this as possible to help me decide what we're going to stick with.
Keep in mind, the nice thing about just having one editor is that you can click the blue Edit link by a topic and when you go to publish, it already has that topic in the box started for you. If we leave both editors available, the only way to use the Classic Editor will be to push the arrow button on the side of the Edit button at the top of the page and select Classic Editor. Therefore, there is no way to easily edit just a certain section and have it automatically started for you in the reason for edit box.
Any questions, commments, or anything at all, please let us know! Thanks very much!!
Edit: Wikia has set it up so that if you use the Classic Editor, you can still access the Visual Editor by pressing the arrow next to the Edit button on the top of every page. This is different than the way it used to be when if you used the Classic Editor, you could not use the Vis Editor. So, Kudos to Wikia for that change. That being said, I am reverting back to the Classic Editor so when you use an Edit link for a particular section, it will open up the Classic Editor instead of having to open the CE from the Edit button, opening the entire page for edit rather than just the one section. I hope I explained that as well as it sounds in my head. ;oP I am also Highlighting this Message so everyone who is still active will see it and can chime in with their opinions, and/or questions.
I don't know why these newest pages aren't putting the Discussion stuff at the bottom of the pages. I'll have to figure out what we're doing different, or what's changed. Anyway..
Do you see what I mean about having the name of the item as part of the picture and then also being part of the page? Whatever info is part of the image is not searchable data like it is in the page. I really don't think the name of the object needs to be part of the pic. Same with the data on the object like time and XP info. All of that will be listed as part of the page, and thus, searchable. There's no need in having it listed twice, on the page, and in the pic. Not to mention, the name of the file, assuming we name them logically, will tell what the pic is of. Just putting that out there so you don't do 250 images with all that info as part of the image. ;oP
I think we should work on Templates for everybody to use. It would be a good project for us to work on next. That will help everybody to be able to start posting pages.
I figure we need a Template for Quest Series Walkthroughs. We also need to come up with a Template for the Tables needed for the Houses, Buildings, and various Structures pages. Once we get the hard part done, then anybody can use the data SiBurning has already posted and start plugging it all in where it needs to go. Player2start (and anybody else who wants to give input on how things should be laid out in the overhauled wiki - everyone is welcome) does that sound good to you to work on next? Then, I'll help you finalize the Categories while, hopefully, someone will start posting pages using the newly created Templates. Let me know.
Think it would be a good idea to put the Houses, Buildings, and various Structures info into Sortable Tables? I think Player mentioned the idea, but now we can all discuss it in a new Thread.
Here's my take. I think it would be good for people like me who has just come up with the idea of arranging all my Buildings and Houses by the amount of time it takes them to Generate. I know, it's quirky. Welcome to my world. It would also be good in case someone wants to see which buildings (small b = Houses & Buildings) generate the most XP, Cheer, or Coins. Maybe someone would want to accumulate Cheer quickly, they would have the option of sorting the Houses by the amount of Cheer harvested. I vote Sortable Tables for those type pages. Crops and Trees I'm up in the air about. Decor I'm not sure would need it, but if every other page is going to have them, then I think Decor should be included for uniformity.
Ok, I'm done with what I call archiving. I've copied all of, most of the pages over to goldenkingdom.wikia.com. I did not copy all of the Quest pages as they are mostly the same thing over and over. I did not copy the Forum Boards as they are not actually the result of anyone's "work". I did not copy over the images as we will be using most of them. If we come across any that we will not use, or replace with better ones, I'll copy them with file history in tact before deleting them from here. I have copied all necessary pages that I promised I would keep in tact when I was granted Admin rights. Anyone who wants to see the old pages can use the link above. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask! Thanks!
I know we've already talked about these, but I didn't know then what I know now. I just checked the names of the Portals in the game. When you go to Edit mode and try to put them in Inventory it shows the names. They're called "Portal Snow", "Portal Haunted", and "Portal Island". I don't think anyone has actually talked about what the game actually calls them once you have them. I know they're called various things in the Quest Series to discover them, but now we know what they're called once they're discovered and part of your Village. Personally, I'm kicking myself for not thinking of this earlier. At least we haven't posted anything that would need changing, ie, 100 pages with names already decided. Should we call them what the game calls them, but Snow Portal, Haunted Portal, Island Portal instead of saying Portal first? Player and Burning, I'll let you two decide. If you each have different opinions I'll be the deciding factor, which is what I'm best at anyway. ;oP Let me know, or smack me for trying to bring up old business.
Si, when you get the chance, you think you can pull the info on these two things? It'd be nice to have all the exact stats for both these pages. No rush. No hurry. Just wondering if it's something you can do some time.
Rather than have discussions all over the place, let's try to keep them to this forum. This topic's for the data dump...
It's easy enough for me to generate pages for both LE & non-LE, and silver vs gold buildings & houses. Just for reference, here are the pages so far:
The following pages are no good http://brightwoodadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Quests_(Working_Copy) http://brightwoodadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Epic_Buildings_(working)
